Mina Municipal Health Center awarded as Best PCB Facility
A one day event on April 27, 2017 at Grand Xing Imperial Hotel, Iloilo, the Philhealth Regional Office VI recognizes the valuable support extended by partner-stakeholders in the successful implementation of the National Health Insurance Program (Philhealth) by giving them different awards in different areas like Collection (Private and Public), HCDMD (Private and Public), Media and Membership Awards. There are 3 nominees presented by PHIC and 1 will be declared as the winner. Nominees came from Provinces of Region VI including Negros Occidental. After a hard work we had in our municipality specifically under the Mina Municipal Health Center, we are declared as Best PCB (Primary Care Benefits) Facility, given a trophy and a 3k cash, in the whole region with fellow nominees from San Joaquin and Aklan. Why we are given this recognition? Since our facility serves a large number of clients with consultation, laboratory examinations, and other services under PCB packages. Furthermore, we reached the desired number of enlistment and profiling of our PHIC members with their dependents (all these are based on C.Y. 2016 data). Really we are working what was the ideal goal of PHIC which is to reach those poorest families in the grass root level, in order for them to feel the help of our government through delivery of quality health services. Numerous improvements in different health facilities and help extended to its members are said during the afternoon session, and these are the request of Philhealth that we will collaborate as stakeholders in order to reach a healthy and protected Filipino in the near future.
