The Municipality of Mina, headed by the ever supportive Mayor Lydia Grabato, hosted the 3rd Congressional District Alternative Learning System Graduation and Completion Rites on September 26, 2022 at the Mina Evacuation Center (MEC) with the theme, “Gradweyt ng K to 12: Masigasig sa mga Pangarap at Matatag sa mga Pagsubok”.Gracing the event were Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) Member, Hon. Matt Palabrica; Mayor of LGU-Mina, Hon. Lydia Grabato; District of Mina’s Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Bimbo Casquite; and Municipal Officials and Public Schools District Supervisors from the different municipalities in the 3rd District of Iloilo.

Brgy. Singay, is the venue of the 3rd Barangay General Assembly conducted by Mayor Lydia E. Grabato during her first few months in office as Mina’s Local Chief Executive. During this assembly held on September 23, 2022, the LGU’s Department Heads discussed to the barangay residents about the services offered by their respective offices including their priority programs, projects and activities. The 2nd Barangay General Assembly conducted by Mayor Lydia E. Grabato was held earlier today, September 18, 2022 at Brgy. Tipolo Mina, Iloilo. Ireneo Pecina .The LGU’s Department Heads – Dr. Janeatte Sobrevega, Municipal Health Officer; Ian Cezar Solivio represented MSWDO; Licerio Patingo, GSO/OIC Municipal Engineer; Romeo Tabarnilla, Municipal Treasurer: Dory Emelo, Municipal Assessor; Engr. Xykster Pelaez, MAO; Arch. Myla Allada, Building Official designate; Stephany S. Baradas, BPLO: and Mr. Jimylle Jan Caalim of MDRRMO with other MDRRMO personnel; and Police Officer Bernard Masisado representing Mina PNP were the speakers during the assembly. 8 OJT Students had finished their 400 practicum hours at Mina LGU
8 On-the-Job Training (OJT) students taking up BS Accountancy at St. Vincent College of Science and Technology in Leganes, Iloilo paid a visit to Mayor Lydia E. Grabato on September 16, 2022 after finishing their 400 practicum hours. Four of them were assigned in the Office of the Municipal Accountant and the other four in the Municipal Treasurer’s Office.
The KALAHI-CIDDS NCDDP AF is now on its project preparation stage for Phase 2 September 14, 2022
The Kapit Bisig Laban sa Kahirapan-Comprehensive & Integrated Delivery of Social Services National Community Driven Development Additional Financing (KALAHI-CIDDS NCDDP AF) in the Municipality of Mina is now on its project Preparation stage for Phase 2. In implementing the program, series of activities are being conducted and one of these is the Design Planning and Analysis (DPA).The activity was spearheaded by the Municipal Coordinating Team with the technical assistance of the Area Coordinating Team. The unending support from the Local Government Unit of Mina headed by its Municipal Mayor, Hon. Lydia E. Grabato also made this activity a success. The activity was participated by the community volunteers of the 22 barangays and the selected MIAC Members. This activity aims to capacitate and encourage the community to prioritize their own needs and to actively participate in the design planning of their own projects. Guided by the KALAHI principle, people are capacitated so they will become prepared in managing community issues and problems as well as in planning, mobilization, implementation and resource management.
