The Mina National High School headed by Dr. Luda G. Ahumada, Principal IV, conducted an Orientation on Adolescent Health and Youth Development Program and Teen Center Project last March 10, 2023 at the Mina Hillside Haven Teen Center, Mina, Iloilo. The event was graced by Mayor Lydia E. Grabato herself as well as Mrs. Jera Mae L. Alojado of the PPO.
Blessing of Multi-purpose Vehicles and followed by the Turning-Over of the vehicles to the different barangays
On March 3, 2023, another significant event took place in the Municipality of Mina as the Local Government Unit under the administration of Mayor Lydia E. Grabato held the Blessing of Multi-purpose Vehicles and followed by the Turning-Over of the vehicles to the different barangays. The LGU availed of the Omnibus Term Loan Facility (OTLF) of the Land Bank of the Philippines for this undertaking. The blessing was officiated by Rev. Fr Francisco Gabriel, Parish Priest of Our Lady of the Pillar. Vice Mayor John Michael Defensor with SB Members, Former Mayor Rey P. Grabato now Executive Assistant V, Department Heads, Punong Barangay, and Mina Municipal Workforce graced the event. The vehicles were turned over to the Punong Barangays for their official use and for other purposes as stipulated in the Memorandum of Agreement between the LGU and the concerned barangay.
The Opening of the 3rd Congressional District Sports Association Meet (CDSA Meet) at the Mina Sports and Cultural Center in Mina, Iloilo.
Participants from the Third District in the Province of Iloilo: Municipalities of Maasin, Lambunao, Calinog, Cabatuan, Janiuay, Pototan, and Mina; gathered today, February 24, 2023, for the Opening of the 3rd Congressional District Sports Association Meet (CDSA Meet) at the Mina Sports and Cultural Center (MSCC) in Mina, Iloilo. The program started with the Opening Remarks of Dr. Luda G. Ahumada, Principal IV of the Mina National High School. It was then followed by the Special Message of Hon. Lydia E. Grabato, Municipal Mayor of Mina. Mayor Grabato emphasized the importance of indulging oneself with sports and a healthy lifestyle to improve one’s self-esteem, leadership skills, and camaraderie especially with young athletes. The program continued with Mr. John Carl M. Huesca, 2022 National Champion of the Batang Pinoy – Sepak Takraw, leading the Oath of Amateurism and Mr. Joseph L. Corneja, Technical Director of Sepak Takraw, leading the Oath of Coaches and Technical Officials and stating the Rules and Guidelines of the Games.The event concluded with the Official Declaration of the Opening of the 3rd CDSA Meet by Dr. Bimbo S. Casquite, Public Schools District Supervisor of the Schools District of Mina.Mina is the host municipality and venue for the Sepak Takraw and Gymnastics events during this year’s 3rd CDSA Meet.
