Engr. Xykster Pelaez, Municipal Agriculturist, led the African Swine Fever (ASF) Task Force Coordination Meeting on October 26, 2022 at the Municipal Conference Room. This was attended by PLT Rogie Panela of Mina PNP and the 22 Punong Barangays of the LGU.In order to prevent the spread of ASF in the municipality, checkpoints will be conducted in some areas of Mina. The list of documents to be presented during police checkpoints was also discussed in the said meeting.

The Local Government Unit of Caluya, Antique conducted a Benchmarking Activity today, October 26, 2022, in the Municipality of Mina. The team led by Ms. Shirley Jancilan, Information Officer IV of LGU Caluya, were warmly welcomed by Mayor Lydia E. Grabato with Vice Mayor John Michael Defensor and some Municipal Department Heads.

MAYOR LYDIA GRABATO and VICE MAYOR JOHN MICHAEL DEFENSOR spearheaded the conduct of General Assembly at Brgy. Cabalabaguan on OCTOBER 22, 2022. With them are SB Members – HON. BENJE PELOBELLO, HON. FELNE NOVO, HON. IRENEO PECINA & HON. BAASIM PENDIODAY. It was a well-attended General Assembly. Thanks to the leadership of PB Marlene Pelaez with all her Barangay Officials for gathering their constituents to listen to the Department Heads of LGU Mina as they discussed the accomplishments, programs and projects of their respective offices.

In line with the celebration of the 31st anniversary of The Local Government Code, the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Region VI hosted the Development Talk (DevTalk) on the Smart and Creative LGUs on October 19,2022 at Diversion 21 Hotel, Iloilo City. Mayor Lydia E. Grabato was one of the Local Chief Executives who was invited to attend the celebration.

The alarming ASF in the Province of Iloilo was one of the main agenda. While the new members of Mina BFP – FO1 Joel Montuya Jr. and FO1 Dinlo Libo-on were introduced by SFO3 Lovella Saliba during the meeting held at the Municipal Conference room on October 17, 2022.

It was conducted by the team from Iloilo Provincial Treasurer’s Office led by Ms. Fatima Bayona and was attended by Municipal Treasurer – Mr. Romeo F. Tabarnilla and his MTO personnel, Municipal Assessor-Ms. Dory P. Emelo, BPLO – Stephany S. Baradas and Ms. Rose Anne Belandres from Accounting Office.
