As the Municipality of Mina, Iloilo shortlisted as one of the contenders for the 2016 Excellence in Local Governance (Excell) Awards – Municipality Category B (4th-6th Class Municipality. The Members of Regional Awards Committee (RAC) conducted an on-site validation and assessment last October 20, 2016. The on-site validation and assessment included but not limited to document review, interview of key informants and on-site inspection.
