The Information and Communications Technology Office-Field Operations Office(ICTO- FOO) Visayas Cluster I holds simultaneously the Tech4ED MOA Signing and ICTO Forum at the Mina Sports and Cultural Center, Mina, Iloilo on August 11, 2015. The program was attended by Deputy Executive Director Beatrice “ Bettina” Quimson of ICTO, Department of Science and Technology with Miss Ana Clarrise Navarro, Tech4ED Coordinator, Director Frederick Amores of ICTO- FOO VI and Joeven Tansi , President of ICT Confederation- Region VI.
Mina’s Mayor Hon. Rey P. Grabato welcomes the opportunity to host the first ICT Forum in the Province of Iloilo . Former Mayor Lydia Grabato, now serving as Executive Assistant V presented the Best Practice of the LGU in terms of ICT applications which is the implementation of the Municipal Agriculture Information Sytem (MAIS). Director Amores presented the project of ICTO which is the eBusiness.
Director Quimson presented the Juan Konek (Free-Wifi) Program of DOST which has drawn eagerness of the crowds. Miss Clarisse Navarro explained the Tech4ed project and presented the different contents of the project.
Signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement was done between ICTO-DOST represented by Director Quimson and Director Amores with the different LGU’s represented by Mayor Rey P. Grabato of Mina, Mayor Mariano Malones of Maasin, Mayor liecel Seville of New Lucena, Ms. Gina G. Aris, Cec Manager of Lambunao.
The audience who witnesses the signing ceremony and ICT Forum were the Barangay and Municpal Officials, Department Heads abd LGU employees, Mina National High School students and teachers headed by their Principal Mr. Gil Abillera, Grade V & VI pupils of Mina Central School, school Heads from barangay schools, PTA officers and NGOs.
